Customs

On a quest for blogs of drawings, for some reason I ended up at Escape Blog, a travel blog which has this hilarious entry dealing with the attitudes a newly married woman should have for sex.

It also has descriptions of all kinds of traditions in other cultures. I'm going to go read some more.

How sad, yet very funny. This is my favorite part:
"When he comes groping into the room she should make no sound to guide him in her direction, lest he take this as a sign of encouragement. She should let him grope in the dark. There is always the hope that he will stumble and incur some slight injury which she can use as an excuse to deny him sexual access."

What's the problem? I thought they had some good advice, especially the timeline for terminating sexual contact. Everyone knows it's good to have a long-term plan.

I think it's a fake.

But then, I always think everything is a fake. That is why I am still alive.

(three guesses where that came from)

Seriously, I think it's Yet Another Net Invention. I've read a bit of Victorian literature, and there's now way in hell that a minister's wife uttered the word 'sex'. She might talk about the 'marriage bed' or some such thing, but if a women used the word 'sex', it was as a synonym for 'gender'.
